DSBN secondary schools offer a wide range of both broad-based and focus technology courses. All grade 7 & 8 students participate in technological education at our innovative Design, Science and Technology Centres. We are proud of our community partnerships that provide students with valuable cooperative education placements. Many of our students, who are participating in cooperative education in one of 150 trade areas, are signed to an apprenticeship with the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program. Specialist High Skills Major Programs are offered in 13 areas from Manufacturing and Hospitality to Business and Environment and include the very successful SHSM Construction Home Build Program. Technological Skills Challenges, Robotics programs provide opportunities for students to expand their skills and make connections to the world outside of school.
